Another brief update!

Hello Friends!!

Well I am two days into a year of chemo! The first night was very rough, with not much sleep and a lot of stomach problems. I slept well last night, and my nausea only lasted a couple hours this morning. I have been able to eat today, which has been good. I hope that I quickly get “used” to feeling crappy all the time – because this tired and sick thing really sucks! When I was on Chemo in 2012 I knew it was only 5 days, a few days to recover, and I would feel half decent for the rest of the month. It is really scary knowing that I won’t have any breaks and time to recover this year.

I wanted to share a website with you that my amazing support team has set up. They have organized a crowd funding page to help with my medical expenses. Please check it out and share it with your family and friends. ANY donation is GREATLY appreciated. Please note that it is an international crowd funding page, as we have family and friends living around the world. The donation will show in American Dollars, which will then be converted to Canadian when it comes to me. Please ask me if you have any questions.

I am so thankful for all the support you have all given to me over the past 2.5 years. I would not be here without you.

Promise to post more details when I can!

Health Update May 21, 2014

Hi friends…

I had my follow-up appointment for a 3 month scan today, and the doctor told us that there is a new bright spot showing up on the MRI in the centre core of the tumour. That means it has intensified from a grade II tumour to a grade III in that area. I am starting chemo again immediately; this time I will be doing 12 rounds, each of them 28 days straight- so essentially every day for an entire year.

Thank you all for your continued support!
